MV Agusta has announced its recently updated 2021 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce will be instrumental in an upcoming motorcycle world record attempt dubbed the Turismo Veloce Europe Endurance (TVEE).
On June 21, when the summer solstice marks the longest hours of sunlight in the northern hemisphere, Italian motorcycle journalist Valerio Boni will hop aboard an MV Agusta Turismo Veloce and attempt to break the world record for the most number of countries visited by motorcycle in a 24-hour period.
Setting out from Malmo in Sweden, Boni will attempt to visit 11 countries over a route that finishes at MV Agusta headquarters in Schiranna, northern Italy. While “respecting all traffic and speed regulations”, as MV Agusta is at pains to point out, Boni will visit Sweden, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, Austria, Lichtenstein, and Italy.
The 62-year-old is no stranger to big rides. He’s ridden in the big African rallies, riding a 125cc Cagiva to victory in Morocco and Egypt, and just last month he broke the Guinness World Record for the longest distance on a minibike in 24 hours. So while his sanity may be in question, his level of grit, determination and endurance is not!
On this record attempt, Boni will also seek to complete an Iron Butt Saddlesore 1600 and Saddlesore 2000, in which he covers those distances (in kilometres) within the 24-hour period.

Boni says he’ll have a good shot at the record aboard the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce.
“This long, epic ride across Europe will certainly be challenging for both rider and bike, but the 2021 edition of the Turismo Veloce, in its production version, has everything it takes to achieve the objective in the best conditions,” he said.
“Thanks to the Turismo Veloce’s onboard technology we will be able to share the adventure in real time on the official website, at www.mvagusta.com.”
