MV celebrates 150 years of Italy

The iconic company is big on commemorative models, and now it's released a special series of Brutale 990Rs

MV Agusta has announced a special series of Brutale 990R naked bikes to celebrate 150 years since Italy first became a united country in 1861.

Limited to 150 customers only, the exclusive livery is highlighted by the dashboard cover which is of the same colour as the bodywork; the tail end which for the occasion has become single seater; and the spoiler -- the Italian flag and the number 150 make this model immediately recognisable.

The bikes’ serial numbers are inscribed on a plate located on the upper steering brace.

The Brutales are offered in three colour schemes with base of white, red, and black.

The Kingdom of Italy was formed in 1861, existing until 1946 when the Italians opted for a republican constitution. Over the last 150 years, Italy has had 53 Prime Ministers, with Benito Mussolini the most notorious.

The current leader is the embattled Silvio Berlusconi: will MV release a special ‘scandal’ model just for him?

Only recently, MV Agusta made a comeback to the Australian market, with the F4 1000 RR ($25,800) and Brutale 1090 RR ($20,800) the foundation bikes.
