After its high-profile split from KTM, luxury Italian brand MV Agusta is headed back to Australia with its own subsidiary.
MV Agusta was previously distributed in Australia by KTM, and Urban Moto Imports before that, but the brand will now have a direct presence Down Under.
The new subsidiary will be headquartered in Sydney and will oversee operations in Australia and New Zealand.
With a planned opening in the last quarter of 2025, the new subsidiary will handle sales, marketing, and customer support, and give MV Agusta customers a more accessible relationship with the brand.
“We are thrilled to establish a direct presence in Australia," said Luca Martin, CEO of MV Agusta Motor S.p.A. “This new subsidiary will allow us to continue to serve our Australian and New Zealand customers and strengthen our position in the market.”

The establishment of the Australian subsidiary will also offer a “more robust supply chain for parts and accessories”. The brand is working closely with the existing dealer network to transition to the new operation, and there are plans to expand the dealer network even further.
"Our goal is to build on MV Agusta's rich legacy while tailoring our approach to meet the unique expectations of riders in this part of the world," said Adam Beehag, Managing Director of MV Agusta Australia and New Zealand."
KTM took majority ownership of MV Agusta in 2024 but handed it back to the previous owners earlier this year after a financial crisis. MV Agusta is now under full control of the Sardarov Family and its Art of Mobility company.
