MV Agusta has finally pulled the covers off its latest high-end Italian-built creation – the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro.
First teased at EICMA via a prototype, the beefed-up Superveloce adopts the 208hp, 998cc inline four-cylinder engine found in the Brutale 1000 RR.
Only 500 units will be produced, with ten of those headed for Australia. MV Agusta Brand Manager Adam Beehag says that five die-hard enthusiasts have already put down deposits for the exclusive machine, sight unseen.
With a price tag of $110,895 ride away, the Superveloce Serie Oro is representative of MV Agusta’s luxury status and desire to create self-proclaimed “motorcycle art”.
As well as adding a bigger engine, the new machine builds on the standard Superveloce by adding optimised aerodynamic wings, more carbon fibre components, special wheelsets, and a unique exhaust system.
Other eye-catching details include the leather and Alcantara seat, a leather belt across the fuel tank, and exclusive logos and a laser-engraved authenticity plate.
Electronics include adjustable traction control, front-lift (or wheelie) control, launch control, four riding modes, an up-and-down quickshifter, cruise control, and high-spec Ohlins semi-active suspension.
Unique to the Superveloce Serie Oro is an integrated GPS module that communicates with the free MV Ride app. This function allows for corner-by-corner navigation via the 5.5-inch colour TFT display, as well as data on route, speed, gears used, lean angle, altitude and travel times.
All of the data can be accessed by the MV Ride app, which also allows for remote customisation of ride modes, electronics and suspension settings. In addition, the bike comes with a Mobisat satellite alarm module.
Elsewhere, the Serie Oro comes with Brembo Stylema brakes, tailor-made Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tyres, two-level ABS, and a high-strength steel and alloy frame.
Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro customers will also receive a special kit that includes a passenger seat, passenger footpegs and support, carbon passenger heel guards, CNC-machined brake and clutch levers, height adjustment plates for the swingarm pin, a certificate of authenticity, and a dedicated motorcycle cover.
Getting your hands on one of these machines will be a challenge, so speak to you local MV Agusta dealer to find out more.
