The latest motorcycle from the years-old collaboration between MV Agusta and Pirelli Design was unveiled at the opening of the tyre maker’s all-new flagship store in Monte Carlo on September 22.
The model, dubbed the MV Agusta Dragster 800 RR Pirelli, will be offered for the first time in two different colour schemes; a distinctive black and yellow, as well as a blue and white option.
Pirelli Design, the creative arm of the tyre maker responsible for the collaborative machines, has also formulated an innovative rubber fairing and tank slider, which it says is more resistant to scratches than the more conventional plastic or fibreglass units.
Used to promote the Pirelli Diablo SuperCorsa tyre, both the fairing and the tank pad feature the recognisable Diablo tyre groove that Pirelli calls the "flash". Both the Pirelli and Diablo logos appear on the special-edition machine.
The MV Agusta Dragster 800 RR Pirelli will be produced in strictly limited numbers, with no word yet on whether any are earmarked for the Aussie market.
