The 800 has a 798cc in-line three-cylinder engine with a counter-rotating crankshaft, which the Italian company claims is good for 125hp (92kW) at 11,600rpm, and 81Nm at 8600rpm. Weight is 167kg, which MV says “puts put the Brutale 800 at the top of the category ‘naked’, setting the new benchmark”.
The engine configuration, which first debuted on the F3 675 before making its way into the Brutale 675, is full ride by wire and features four riding modes – one fully customisable – and eight-level traction control.
The chassis includes a steel trellis frame with aluminium plates, a single-sided swingarm, radial brakes and fully adjustable suspension: a Marzocchi 43mm upside-down fork and Sachs shock. The 17-inch wheels are aluminium-alloy.
The new Brutale 800 is manufactured in four colour combinations:
Matt metallic Grey/Pearl White
White/Blue Pearl “ITALIA”
Australian availability and pricing is still to be determined.
