At the heart of the 2022 Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak edition is the 1160cc V4 Granturismo engine that produces 170hp and 125Nm. In this application, the engine has been optimised to ‘intensify the characteristics’ of the bike, helped in part by the new Race ride mode.
Of course, all the Multistrada V4 S’s popular features carry over, including a 6.5-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity, radar-enabled active cruise control and blind spot detection, cornering ABS, cornering traction control, and wheelie control.
The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is an annual race to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado, USA. The 19.99km course has over 156 turns and climbs 1440m in altitude. The course once included gravel, but since 2011 it is completely paved.
Punters wishing to get their hands on the 2022 Ducati Multistrada Pikes Peak edition will be able to do so in the second quarter of 2022, however it won’t come cheap. The new variant checks in at $44,500 ride away, placing it at the top of the Multistrada V4 range.
