Motorcycle tolling to start on Citylink

From January 1, 2014, motorcycles will be required to pay to use the Citylink network of freeways through inner Melbourne – until now a free service

From January 1, 2014, motorcycle tolling will begin on Citylink, the network of inner Melbourne freeways. It will bring Citylink into line with the other major toll road scheme in the Victorian capital – Eastlink.

The toll for motorcycles will be half the rate for cars, using technology that “incorporates video imaging that will accurately toll motorcycles”.

After January 1, 2014, motorcyclists who use CityLink but have not made arrangements to pay will receive late toll invoices.

More information on motorcycle tolling can be found at www.citylink.com.au.
