Australian Story, ABC television's popular take on contemporary culture, will air a story on March 1 about motorcycle rider Glenn Scott.
Scott, an 18-year old from Mangrove Mountain (NSW), clinched the 2007 Australian 125 GP title before spending the last two years racing in the extremely competitive Spanish scene. This year, he will step up to a BMW superbike to race in the Australian Formula Xtreme Championship.
Scott has continued to race motorcycles with remarkable support from his family, friends and the local community after both of his parents died in a motorcycle accident in 2003. For the past five years Glenn has been cared for by his older sister Candice and brother Greg, who have also kept the family nursery business going.
The Australian Story piece will focus on Glenn's life, and will include some footage of him riding the BMW S 1000 RR around Eastern Creek Raceway.
Australian Story, which averages about one million viewers a week, goes to air at 8.00pm on Monday, and is repeated on Saturdays at 12.30 pm.
