MotoGP is back, with Dorna Sports revealing the updated calendar. The season will restart in Jerez, Spain on July 19.
The 2020 MotoGP season was put on hold in March following the outbreak of COVID-19. The opening round in Qatar had been run, but only the Moto3 and Moto2 classes competed. The premier MotoGP class is yet to see a green light in 2020.
Currently, only European-based races have been confirmed for the updated calendar, though America, Argentina, Thailand and Malaysia are all listed as possibilities, restrictions permitting. The status of these races will be confirmed by July 31st.

There will be a minimum of 13 races between July and November, with the possibility of those four races outside of Europe extending the season to December 13. As it stands, the season will conclude in Valencia on November 15.
Jerez, Spielberg, Misano, Aragon and Valencia will each hold two race weekends, with additional races in Czech Republic, Catalonia, and Le Mans.
All dates are tentative, subject to COVID-19 developments. There is hope that spectators could return before the conclusion of the season. Decisions will be made in correspondence with relevant governments and authorities in each location.
