Arguably the flavour of the month (it's been a long month), custom café racers are cropping up left, right and centre, and we once again have a very attractive custom from Florida-based Santiago Choppers.
This particular specimen will be featured in an upcoming Discovery Channel TV special later in October, which will shine the spotlight on some of the world's best café racers.
While the engine and frame come from the 1970s, a Kawasaki Z1000 powerplant surrounded by a Moto Martin frame respectively, the running gear is as modern as you like.
Indeed, the wheels, suspension and swingarm are from a Suzuki GSX-R600, but the likelihood of it being a true scratcher is pretty low. The vintage frame and engine are likely to add weight, but ultimately these bikes are more about show than go. And in that respect this motorcycle hits the nail on the head.
It's the kind of bike you'd want to keep in your loungeroom, such is its aesthetic appeal.
Built by Alan Bernard of Santiago Choppers in US, whose bread and butter customs are usually bobbers and trikes, this café racer is jaw-droppingly beautiful. Please Sir, we want more!
Oh, and Santiago Choppers ship their products world wide. Check out the offical SantiagoChopper.com website for more details.
