Powered by a 1043cc liquid-cooled transverse V-twin motor, the new Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello marks a new direction for the Italian firm, which has traditionally focused on air-cooled models. The new machine is also far more advanced than previous Guzzi models in the electronic tech department.
Most notably, the V100 will be one of the first production motorcycles of any brand to feature adaptive aerodynamics. The air deflectors on either side of the 17.5L fuel tank will adjust automatically depending on ride mode and speed. The windscreen is also electronically adjustable.
Two variants of the V100 Mandello will be available, with the up-spec V100 Mandello S offering a significant level of technology and equipment.
The base model will feature ABS, traction control, ride modes and a six-axis IMU, but the S model will add semi-active suspension, a quickshifter, heated grips, and Moto Guzzi’s MIA multimedia software for smartphone connectivity.
A number of colour schemes will be available, including Bianco Polare (white) and Rosso Magma (red) for the base model, and Verde 2121 (green) and Grigio Avanguardia (grey) for the S model.
