A new book celebrating the anniversary of Moto Guzzi has been unveiled in Milan, with the volume featuring contributions from ten distinguished Moto Guzzi fans, including actor Ewan McGregor.
The elegantly-bound book has been published by Rizzoli Illustrati to coincide with Moto Guzzi’s 100th birthday. The Italian firm has operated out of its Mandello del Lario factory since 1921.

Headlining the list of contributors is actor Ewan McGregor, who has a long association with the brand as an ambassador. He is joined by writer Melissa Holbrook Pierson, architect Greg Lynn, journalists Marco Masetti, Mat Oxley and Akira Nishimura, DJ Ringo, designer Tom Dixon, astronaut Paolo Nespoli, and Harvard professor Jeffrey Schnapp, who also edited the book.
The 100-year history of the famous Italian brand is told through these ten contributors, whom each describes their love of motorcycling and Moto Guzzi, and how it has shaped their own personal histories and careers.
Moto Guzzi has long been seen as an icon of Italian industry, and is particularly noted for its 90-degree V-twin motorcycles. The company is also credited as a pioneer of the wind tunnel, as well as creating the first centre stand and the eight-cylinder engine.
Since 2004, Guzzi has operated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Piaggio and in recent years has focused on heritage-inspired models.
In celebration of the anniversary, Guzzi recently unveiled a special Centenario livery for its V7, V9 and V85 TT models. The V7 and V85 TT have been updated for 2021, while the V9 will make its return to Australian shores after a few years in the wilderness.
The book, titled Moto Guzzi 100 Anni, is 224 pages long and is available in select bookstores with a European price of €80. Australian fans can get a hold of a copy on Amazon.
