Moss dominates in the Top End

Consecutive victories in the 2013 Australian Supercross Championship in Darwin already has the Suzuki rider an 8pt leader in the standings

Suzuki's Matt Moss completed a clean sweep of the MX1 class at last weekend’s (September 14-15) double-header round of the 2013 Terex Australian Supercross Championship at Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin.

In round two on Sunday, Moss took the win ahead of American Weston Peick (Honda) and Jake Moss (Honda).

“It was a perfect weekend,” Moss said. “Every single session we qualified first so I couldn’t ask for anything better.

“I felt really good, I wasn’t as fit as I wanted to be with only a week and a half to get ready but all in all it went really well considering the heat.

“I liked the double-header format, we have it again at Phillip Island I am looking forward to it.”

In a reversal of Saturday’s round one result, Yamaha’s Luke Styke took the MX2 win ahead of Gavin Faith (Honda), with Ryan Marmont (Suzuki) third.

The next round of the 2013 Terex Australian Supercross series will be held at Mt Gambier (SA) on Saturday, October 12.
