The culmination of the six-week Morgan & Wacker Harley-Davidson grand opening festival in Newstead (Qld) on Saturday, July 12 saw thousands of people head to the Ross Street store to celebrate.
The atmosphere was electric with live music pumping throughout the street, a huge clearance area featuring great specials on MotorClothes, and food vendors offering American hotdogs and fries or Mexican tacos.
Added to the mix was the grand prize draw, with one lucky customer walking away with a Harley-Davidson Iron 883. The winner, Sun Heo, said: “I would like to thank everyone and Morgan & Wacker. I visited Morgan & Wacker in 2008 for the first time. That was when I first visited Australia. First destination was not the zoo or Sunny (Sunshine Coast) or Goldy (Gold Coast). It was Morgan & Wacker.”
The grand opening festival has now officially wrapped up, however things are just getting started at the newly renovated Morgan & Wacker Harley-Davidson dealership.
“As the oldest motorcycle dealer in the country, and the second oldest Harley-Davidson dealer in the world, the rejuvenation of this historical dealership needed more than a normal grand opening,” states Paul Lewis, Morgan & Wacker Harley-Davidson Dealer Principal. “The six-week festival gave us a chance to give back to our customers and really showcase the new store.
"And to finish off the festival with such a massive finale like today was just ideal. But this is just the start of many more great events for us. We’ve already got plans in place for the coming months with ladies’ garage parties, the exciting great escape competition with Harley-Davidson Australia, and much more.”
