This is achieved with new intake valves and valve pitch, a straighter intake duct, a repositioned upstream injector, a longer exhaust header pipe, new advanced ignition timing and revised gearing with a taller first gear.
Elsewhere, the suspension has been fine-tuned with firmer settings and more precise tuning parameters, while new Dunlop MX33 rubber – including a wider rear tyre – and repositioned and wider footpegs also add to the bike’s rideability.
The rest of the bike’s components are carried across from the previous model, with the KX450-based aluminium perimeter frame, electric start, adjustable ergonomics, petal disc brakes, launch control, and programmable riding maps all contributing to a race-winning package.
