Monster 821 pricing

The new naked will go on sale in three different variants next month, powered by the latest edition of Ducati’s 821 Testastretta 11° engine

Ducati Australia has set retail pricing for its new Monster 821, and is as follows:

  • Monster 821 – Dark Stealth (black frame and wheels, no passenger seat cover) $15,990
  • Monster 821 – Red (red frame with black wheels and passenger seat cover) $16,490
  • Monster 821 - Star White Silk (red frame with black wheels and passenger seat cover) $16,490

First deliveries will commence in September, 2014.

The machine utilises the Testastretta 11° engine that has already featured in the company's latest Hypermotard, producing 112hp and 89Nm. The 821 has an integrated trellis frame, with the engine used a stressed member. Dry weight is a claimed 179.5kg.

Electronics include eight-level traction control, three-level anti-lock braking and three different riding modes through the ride-by-wire throttle. The package is similar to that found on the new Monster 1200.
