Honda's massive Brazilian outpost will shortly begin selling a commuter bike equipped with the company's independently developed Mix Fuel Injection System.
The so-called 'flexible fuel' technology enables the mixture of bio-ethanol and gasoline fuels, helping to reduce Co2 emissions.
Honda claims the GG150 TITAM MIX is the first motorcycle to be equipped with flexible fuel technology.
A Honda Australian spokeswoman said there were no plans to introduce the model into Australia, instead shifting the focus onto government policy.
"If the Australian Government intends to push ethanol fuel harder with more financial incentives behind it, Honda will be ready with this type of technology," the spokeswoman said. "However, at the moment Honda Australia has no intention of importing this model."
Honda Brazil plans to sell 200,00 CG150s annually.
