Milner’s A4DE three-peat
Three in a row for the Victorian, as he finished ahead of KTM’s Toby Price and Yamaha teammate Chris Hollis in the 2014 Australian Four Day EnduroCDR Yamaha’s Daniel Milner has won the 2014 Yamaha Australian Four Day Enduro (A4DE) after the final motocross test was completed today at Dungog (NSW) on Saturday, August 16.
Mounted on his YZ450F, Milner won the event with a 25-second gap over KTM’s Toby Price after four days of competition.
Milner crossed the finish line with fist in the air after the final motocross test, elated that he had been able to secure his third consecutive victory in Australia’s most prestigious off-road motorcycle event.
“Apart from a bit of dust, which couldn’t be helped, it was a really enjoyable four day. Riding with Toby and Chris was awesome and we talked and joked at a lot of the check points over the four days so it was a lot of fun," said Milner. “Winning this one meant a lot, not only because it was three in a row for me, but because the level of competition that was here and for my CDR Yamaha team that do so much for me.
"Beating riders like Toby, Chris and Josh Strang is amazing and having them here adds to the prestige of the event.
“A big thank you to the organisers and sponsors of the event and all the volunteers that go into making a race like this happen. It’s a huge job and all the riders appreciate the effort they put in."”
Chris Hollis (CDR Yamaha) finished a further 82 seconds behind Price, Yamaha pair Josh Strang and Beau Ralston completing the top five.
The class winners were Tom McCormack (E1), Milner (E3), Glenn Kearney (E3), Damian Smith (Veterans), David Fleming (Masters) and Jessica Gardiner (Women).
