Australian 500cc motorcycling legend Mick Doohan will have his work cut out for him when he takes on some of F1's best drivers in China.
Mick Doohan, five-time 500cc GP World Champion, will swap two wheels for four in Beijing, racing behind the wheel of several different car types in the Race of Champions (ROC).
Doohan called the ROC "a really fun event," adding: "In June I raced in Portugal at the ROC Legends and had a great time, so I'm really looking forward to taking part at the World Finals in Beijing, I can only imagine how good it will be! It's going to be an awesome event."
The ROC World Finals take place November 4th at the Bird's Nest Stadium in Beijing (the one built for the 2008 Olympics), which has been covered with tarmac for the event.
"I will get to race some amazing cars against the likes of Schumacher and Button, which is incredibly exciting. It will be great to mix it with these guys and find out what makes them tick," added Doohan.
Mighty Mick will command a variety of vehicles against seven-time F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher and current F1 drivers Jenson Button and Sebastian Vettel, not to mention rally star Mikko Hirvonen.
Doohan will be joined by another Australian, V8 Supercar ace Jamie Whincup, during event, providing Australia with a strong chance of success.
Other motorbike racers have competed in the past, such as compatriot Troy Bayliss, the irrepressible Valentino Rossi, and Travis Pastrana.
