Metal Mayhem Tour III

Harley-Davidson's massive travelling roadshow is taking the new 2011 motorcycle range across the nation

Billed as one of the biggest Harley-Davidson events in Australasia, the Metal Mayhem Tour III has begun in earnest.

Heading to some 47 Harley-Davidson dealerships across Australia and New Zealand, the event is a massive undertaking and winds up in early March 2011.

The event will see the new 2011 H-D range available for test rides, but riders eager to get in should do so soon, as rides are limited and you do have to book by ringing the dealer.

The test rides are free however and the travelling roadshow will also bring a festive spirit to dealerships.

Expect performance demonstrations, door prizes, BBQs, vouches and other freebies at some of the dealerships, and then there's the "big" hook to convince those who may have been sitting on the fence.

Anyone who test rides a new 2011 Harley-Davidson during the Metal Mayhem III roadshow goes into the draw to win a brand-new 2011 Softail Standard valued at $28,000.

Oh, and it's signed by Willie G Davidson.

After test riding a new H-D, entrants must then answer the question "Where would your ultimate ride on a Harley take you?" in 20 words or less. While the winner gets a new Softail, 100 runners-up will get a Harley-Davidson tee-shirt, valued at $50.
