Get an insight into the maestros and machines of the custom bike world at a new motorcycle show to be staged in the heart of Melbourne over November 2-4, 2012.
The inaugural Oil Stained Brain is more than just a custom bike show, it's a window into a highly vibrant and unique motorcycle scene, with the bikes themselves -- including choppers, cafe racers, rat bikes and more -- complemented by regular screenings of moto-genre short films and a moto-culture art display. It's a fusion of motorcycles, music, art and film -- a snapshot of custom bike culture at the one central Melbourne address.
The show will be staged in the gallery space at the rear of the Million Pound Bend cafe at 361 Little Lonsdale Street, in Melbourne's CBD. An eclectic mix of 30 striking custom bikes from undiscovered backyard builders and renowned custom heavyweights alike will be on display, while show-goers can also peruse (and perhaps purchase) the many examples of motorcycle-inspired artwork, while enjoying some great live music. A total of seven film screenings will take place in a 200-seat cinema over the course of the two-day event.
Doors are open from 10am to 6pm on both days and a gold coin will get you through the door. There's also a launch party for the show on the Saturday night from 6am to 10pm -- tickets cost $10 and include a raffle ticket and a drink -- while tickets for the film screenings cost $5.
