McQueen named as Motorclassica ambassador

Chad McQueen, the son of Hollywood icon Steve McQueen, has been named as the face of Melbourne's Motorclassica exhibition
Chad McQueen has been named as the official ambassador for the upcoming Motorclassica exhibition in Melbourne.
A film producer and racing driver, Chad McQueen will head Down Under to Melbourne to October to represent and promote the event, which will be held in the city's Royal Exhibition Building over October 21 to 23.
In the sixth instalment of the ever-popular event, which showcases rare and superb examples of both cars and motorcycles, McQueen will lead the annual Tour Classica prologue from Melbourne's Sidney Myer Music Bowl to the Royal Exhibition Building. Around 70 cars and motorcycles are expected to take part.
Chad McQueen himself produced a highly-acclaimed documentary in 2015 – Steve McQueen: The Man & Le Mans – a film that recalled his own memories of being on-set with his father during the making of the seminal movie, Le Mans (1971).
Chad McQueen follows in the wheel tracks of previous Motorclassica ambassadors including Gina Campbell (a member of the Campbell Speed Record dynasty), Sir Stirling Moss, Sir Jack Brabham, five-time Le Mans winner Derek Bell and legendary Lamborghini test driver, Valentino Balboni.
