A clean sweep in round two of the 2014 Australasian Superbike Championship , who now leads the championship from Honda teammate Jamie Stauffer

Team Motul Honda rider Wayne Maxwell dominated round two of the 2014 Swann Insurance Australasian Superbike Championship at Mallala Motorsport Park (SA) on Sunday, May 18.

Maxwell won all three races, and it was also a 1-2 podium finish for Team Honda Racing with his teammate Jamie Stauffer claiming second, third and second across the three 10-lap races.

Both the first and the third races saw extremely close finishes with Maxwell passing Stauffer on the second last lap (race one) and the final corner (race three) to take the sweep.

Yamaha Racing Team's Robbie Bugden was a consistent performer with 3-4-5 finishes, good enough for third overall.

Cru Halliday (Yamaha Racing Team) and Troy Herfoss (Team Honda Racing) rounded out the top five.

In the overall standings, Maxwell has leapt into an eight-point lead over Stauffer, with BikeBiz Racing Kawasaki's Sean Condon a further 32 points behind in third.

In the Yamaha-dominated supersport category, Queenslander Callum Spriggs (1-2) took round honours from Aaron Morris (3-1) and Aiden Wagner (2-4).

Spriggs holds a seven-point buffer over Morris in the standings, with Wagner a further five points behind in third.
