In a major paradigm shift, Sydney-based motorcycle accessories company Mat Mladin Imports is closing its doors, but will relaunch as Bike Gear Warehouse on July 1.
Citing higher prices paid for motorcycle gear and accessories in Australia and New Zealand compared to the US, Bike Gear Warehouse will now cut out the middle man and sell products such as Joe Rocket, Yoshimura, Jardine and Vortex straight to the public from its 6000 square-metre warehouse in Narellan.
"I expect prices on our quality brands… to drop by 30-50 percent," said road racing champion Mat Mladin, the owner of Bike Gear Warehouse. "This will bring Australian and New Zealand prices down to the level of US prices.
"Supporting our new business will be the most advanced and comprehensive motorcycle accessory website in Australia (here).
"I also want to raise the bar for customer service in this industry. Bike Gear Warehouse will set new standards for customer service, including free shipping to Australia and New Zealand for orders over $200, as well as a free size exchange on clothing apparel ordered from the website."
