Martin makes it two from two in world endurance

This time a four-lap win in Germany

After a world superbike cameo in South Africa to replace injured compatriot Troy Corser at BMW, Australian Steve Martin has returned to his regular road racing gig with victory in round two of the world endurance tile in Germany.

Aboard the polesitting Yamaha Austria Racing Team (YART) YZF-R1, Martin and teammates Igor Jerman and Gwen Giabbani completed 257 laps in the eight-hour race at Oschersleben, to finish well ahead of two spritely named teams -- Amadeus X One (Yamaha) and RT Racing Team & Moto Virus (Suzuki GSX-R1000).

Thirteen teams finished, although not the British-based Phase One Yamaha, featuring Aussie siblings Damien and Alex Cudlin.

YART also won the endurance opener in the famoue Le Mans 24 Hour.
