Newly crowned five-time world champ Marc Marquez made a pitstop at one of Honda's important markets between his Australian and Malaysian MotoGP duties this week.
The mid-week appearance in Indonesia, the same country which hosted his and Dani Pedrosa's Repsol Honda MotoGP team launch eight months ago, saw the 23-year-old dine with the Honda who's who and ride with students of the firm's racing school, while simultaneously getting in some track time aboard the recently launched CBR250RR.
"It's good to see that our sport is so loved and that we have so many, many followers," the Repsol Honda rider said at Indonesia's Sentul circuit.
"Today we met the students from Astra Honda Racing School; I think Honda is doing a great job here, allowing young riders a chance to follow their dreams. Maybe in the near future we'll race with some of them!
"I also enjoyed riding the new Honda CBR250RR as the crowd in the grandstands went crazy. I can't even imagine what it would be like racing here – it would be amazing!"
Marquez will be in Malaysia for tomorrow's press conference in the lead-up to the 17th and penultimate round of the 2016 MotoGP Championship and will make his first on-track appearance after crashing out of the lead in the Australian Grand Prix.
His Repsol Honda teammate will sit out this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix, as he is still recovering from the broken collarbone he sustained in a crash in a practice session in Motegi, Japan.
