Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa attended the annual Honda Racing Thanks Day at Motegi, Japan on the weekend of December 3-4, which brought together the factory-backed riders and drivers from the company's various motorsport programs.
Marquez and Pedrosa began the celebrations by attending the HRC Thanks Dinner in Tokyo alongside trials riders Toni Bou, Takashisa Fujinami and Jaime Busto, MXGP rider Evgeny Bobryshev and many others.
Then it was onto Motegi and the real fun, with Formula One drivers Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button joining Marquez and Pedrosa on track.
Among the highlights were Dani riding the RS125R he used to win the 2003 125cc world title, Marc throwing a leg over the historic 1959 model RC142. The pair also raced Honda CR-Z 1.5 Sport Hybrids, while Alonso didn’t miss the chance to have a ride on the 2016 world champion’s MotoGP bike.
Pedrosa and Button also drove Honda NSX Concept-GT cars.
