Harley-Davidson has revealed an updated Road Glide and Street Glide for 2024, with the new models to feature bigger engines, new tech, and fresh styling.
Following the CVO equivalents that were introduced last year, the new Road Glide and Street Glide are heavily updated for 2024 and Harley says they are designed to “usher in a new era of motorcycle touring”.
The CVO Road Glide and CVO Street Glide were unveiled midway through 2023 and marked a significant overhaul for Harley's Grand American Touring platform. Both CVO models return for 2024 with new paint schemes and a slight increase in price.
Harley-Davidson also unveiled a CVO Road Glide ST version, as well as a CVO Pan America, however the up-spec Pan Am won't be making its way to Australia.
The new standard Road Glide and Street Glide will not get the Milwaukee-Eight 121 engine that debuted in the CVO models, instead opting for the 117 cubic inch version – still an upgrade from the 114 cubic inch motor in the old models.
Courtesy of the new engine, the Road Glide and Street Glide put out 175Nm at 3500rpm and 107hp/80kW at 5020rpm.
Harley has also given the new Glide models much of the technology featured in the CVO bikes including selectable ride modes, the Skyline OS infotainment system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and new fairing-mounted speakers.
Both bikes also get a significant styling overhaul with the signature Shark Nose and Batwing farings in particular looking noticeably different. The styling changes also have a functional purpose too, with increased aerodynamics and lower weights. The rear suspension travel has also been increased by 3 inches.
Pricing will start at $46,495 for both the Road Glide and Street Glide. Each bike comes in two trim options and eight colour options.
