Macna jackets fully CE-approved
New range of protective clothing has complete protectionCE-certified armour accreditation has recently been extended to the entire garment, rather than just the pads and protectors attached to it.
Macna has maximised the shift by being an early adopter of the shift to CE-approved clothing and now has a range of jackets with full protection.
CE certification assesses apparel based on three criteria: Impact protection, abrasion resistance and burst resistance.
The first assesses how the inserts on the high-impact areas -- elbows, shoulders, hips and knees -- absorb energy in a crash; the second tests how long the materials used in a garment can survive a slide on bitumen and the third determines how well the seams stand up during a crash.
Macna’s range of fully CE-approved jackets starts at $199.95 for the Event models and climbs to $329.95 for the pictured Combat model.
