MA safety campaign gets traction

Vermeulen-led scheme is online

Motorcycling Australia says its current motorcycle safety campaign, featuring MotoGP star Chris Vermeulen is getting great coverage through general media.

Meanwhile the organisation plans to offer more features via the MySpace site (pictured) for the scheme. Click here for more.

MA Communications Manager Andrew Weiss said that it is pleasing to see the campaign get such a high level of media coverage, and hopes that the message continues to raise safety awareness.

"For the campaign to be supported so well by not just motorcycling media, but the mainstream media as well, is a truly wonderful thing," he said.

"It justifies the time, effort and money that Motorcycling Australia has invested into the campaign, and gives it the best possible chance of succeeding in what it set out to achieve.

"We need as many motorcyclists to see the ads and to hear what Chris Vermeulen has to say, to make them aware that riding brings with it a whole set of responsibilities.

"We will continue to push forward the message through this campaign, and hope that we get as much air time in the next two weeks as we have in the past two."
