Motorcycling Australia and its state-based affiliates recently undertook a Whole of Sport Review, and one of the major reform items was for a new board to be elected to lead the organisation forward.
A committee has been tasked with the responsibility of managing the process on behalf of the current board, and the successful candidates will need to demonstrate an understanding of corporate governance, as well as either a background in finance, legal, risk, marketing, sponsorship, strategic planning and/or event management. Commercial acumen will also be highly regarded.
The new Board will comprise seven members — four elected by the MA Council, two appointed by the four elected board members, as will one industry representative. The MA AGM will be held on July 29, 2015 in Melbourne. Board meetings are monthly and are based in the MA South Melbourne head office.
Board positions are unpaid, but expenses are covered.
Applicants will be required to provide a cover letter, an up to date CV, as well completing the board nomination form. For a copy of the board Nomination form, contact Motorcycling Australia CEO Dale Gilson at ceo@ma.org.au.
Applications close on Friday, June 19, 2015.
