This is probably as good as it gets for disciples of television programs like Falcon Crest and The Bold and The Beautiful, and for those who like to dabble in two wheels.
Lorenzo Lamas, who played maverick Hector Ramirez in The Bold and The Beautiful from 2004-2007, has launched a motorcycle company called, zanily enough, Lorenzo Lamas Cycles (LLC).
He’s started in the custom game, and is working with Ralph Randolph from Knockout Motorcycle Co., who will engineer and assemble the machines.
LLC currently has four bikes in its line-up: Reno Rocket, Badlands Bomber, Knockout Bobber and Power Sled. The quartet is powered by a V-twin engine, and the frame looks pretty much an off-the-shelf number.
The Reno Rocket and Badlands Bomber will make their public debut at the 69th annual Sturgis Rally in South Dakota this weekend.
Lamas will be there, and you can get his autograph at 6.00pm on Thursday (that's today) – which may ultimately be worth more than one of his creations. No word yet on an Australian distributor…
In 1984, Lamas was nominated for worst actor at the Golden Raspberry Awards – the antidote to the Golden Globe Awards -- for his performance in the movie Body Rock. And he’s also dabbled in singing, with his talents laying somewhere between Bruce Willis and Russell Crowe.
