Several long-awaited KTM models will begin production in October, including the hotly-anticipated 990 RC R sportsbike.
First up on the revised production schedule will be the 990 RC R and 1390 Super Adventure range (including S, S EVO, and R versions) in October, before the 990 Duke R hits the production line in November. The 1390 Super Duke GT has been delayed until 2027.
With most of these models announced in 2024, fans of the brand have had to wait patiently while the company’s well-documented financial issues and restructuring process played out, ultimately delaying production.
KTM CEO Gottfried Nuemeister explained that the delay was necessary to ensure “complete readiness” and confidence in the new models.
“We are committed to delivering the best possible experience for our riders,” said Neumeister in a statement. “This decision ensures that every model will be fully ready to deliver on the high standards our customers expect.”
The new models should arrive in Australia in the first half of 2026, while a complimentary four-year “Premium Manufacturer’s Warranty” will be offered on all LC8 and LC8c powered Street and Adventure models from 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.
