London rioters assault scooterist
A rider is dragged from his scooter as he attempts to ride through a pack of angry rioters in West Croydon
The London riots had dominated the news in early August 2011, as a mob mentality took over the youth of many parts of the UK's largest city.
There are hundreds of instances of wanton destruction and meaningless brutality caught on camera but this video is especially close to home for the two wheeled fraternity.
It shows a scooter rider trying to get to his destination, who is then chased by a thug and dragged down off the scooter while moving.
The scooter is then ridden away, but the thief decides to turn around to stay within the confines of the mob.
Later in the video the rider of the scooter attempts to chase down his vehicle, only to be kicked in the back by another rioter.
