You may not be able to splash the $28,499 (plus on-road costs) required to put a full-size Yamaha MT-10SP in your shed, but you may well be able to stretch the finances to $349.99 for this neat LEGO tribute.
Unveiled recently and available now, the Yamaha MT-10SP is the most recent addition to the LEGO Technic line of motorcycle models, joining the likes of Harley-Davidson’s Fat Boy, Ducati’s Panigale V4 R, BMW’s M 1000 RR, and the Vespa 125, among others.
With 1478 individual pieces, the LEGO Technic Yamaha MT-10SP is a one-fifth scale model that measures 440mm long and 250mm high when assembled.
“As with the real deal, at the heart of the LEGO model is the liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve, 997cc CP4 engine and gearbox, which have been faithfully reproduced in detail,” says LEGO. “The movement of the gears and other components delivers a realistic action, and once completed, the model can be displayed on the stand included with the kit.”
For those who love Yamaha’s flagship streetfighter, but perhaps would prefer not to deal with the speeding fines, the LEGO Technic Yamaha MT-10SP is a demerit-points-friendly solution.
The model is available now via LEGO stores or via the LEGO website.
