Learn from the best: Shane Watts

The former world enduro and American GNCC champion is bringing his famed enduro school back home to Australia

Expatriate Aussie enduro champion Shane Watts has announced he’ll be bringing his Academy of Offroad Riding School to Australia, to be conducted in the heart of the Otway Ranges, near Aireys Inlet (Vic) on the weekend of January 15-16.

The academy focuses on off-road-specific riding situations and instruction, all in a controlled environment and under expert guidance. The tuition caters for all skill levels.

Watts was Australia’s first world enduro champion in 1997, and he then switched his attention to America, cementing his legend status by becoming the first foreigner to win the famed Grand National Cross Country Series in 2000. Along the journey he was also a warrior for Australia’s International Six-Day Enduro teams.

Watts has now retired from professional racing, and remains based in America.
