Here's something you won't see everyday: a 12-cylinder road-going quadbike. It's called the Wazuma. And it's a nasty piece of work...
Made by French customs company Lazareth, the Wazuma is the kind of contraption you'd expect to see Bruce Wayne commissioning for his apres dinner hi jinks, featuring a futuristic design complete with unorthodox wheel layout and an edgy front end style.
Power comes from a supercharged BMW V12 engine, cranking out somewhere in the vicinity of 500hp (367kW). It's got a dirty great big front-mount intercooler, gaping rectangular side pipes and is capable of making a lot of noise.
It's probably not bad on fuel considering it's lighter than an average family station wagon, but eco drivers can fill up with E85 bio-ethanol mixtures too, giving the Wazuma an edge against rivals such as the, umm... It has no rivals.
The Lazareth Wazuma appears to be clad with carbon fibre and the design means that you have to kneel when riding it. Uncomfortable, yes, but so brutally powerful and attention grabbingly aggressive that you'd be fighting off curious onlookers and not worrying about chronic pins and needles in your legs.
Can-Am Spyder owners will probably cock an eyebrow at the V12-powered Wazuma quadbike, but this bad boy doesn't come cheap. You'll need 200,000 Euros, or about A$322,000, to gain admission to this particularly insane ride.
