Spots are filling fast for this year's BMW GS Safari, which is due to kick off in Ballina, on NSW's Northern Rivers region, on Sunday, September 16, and conclude in Foster, on NSW's Mid North Coast, on Sunday, September 21. The event was originally scheduled to end in Bathurst, west of Sydney, but a series of road closures has seen organisers introduce the new destination, which holds its own smorgasbord of sensational surrounding roads.
The five days of this factory-supported ride will allow BMW GS owners to enjoy their dual-purpose mounts to the full, as the rolling cavalcade traces a zig-zag route down the spine of the Great Dividing Range.
A Welcome Dinner serves as a great opportunity to get to know fellow adventurers, while there will surely be many a tale to tell over a beer come the Safari's conclusion.
BMW Motorrad Australia has said there are now only limited places available on the GS Safari, which is open to owners of BMW GS models both new and old. Anyone interested in securing a spot should act now to avoid disappointment.
