LAMS-approved Ducati Monster 659 is back!

Classic Monster joins retro-styled Scrambler in learner-approved Ducati offerings

Ducati will add another learner-legal offering alongside its retro-styled Scrambler Sixty2, with the announcement it’s set to reintroduce the Monster 659 some 18 months after scratching it from the range.

Produced exclusively for the Australian and New Zealand markets, the Monster 659 is based around the firm’s Monster 797 platform and due to hit Aussie shores as early as next month.

“Ducati has once again produced the new Monster 659 specifically for our market,” Ducati Australia’s Warren Lee said.

“So as many learner riders as possible will have the opportunity to ride a new Ducati."

The learner-approved Monster is expected to roll into Australian dealerships in October 2017 where it will be offered for an special introductory price if $12,490 plus on-road costs, including the firm’s 24-month roadside emergency assist, as well as a two-year unlimited-kilometre warranty.
