Kymco Australia has just expanded its range of scooters yet again, this time adding the Kymco Like 150 S to its stable of practical but stylish commuters.
Compared to the retro-look Kymco 150 R on which it’s based, the Kymco 150 S features several different design elements, doesn’t come with a topbox as standard, and is 5kg lighter. And for those on a tighter budget, it’s also $500 less than the Like 150 R, with the S coming in at $4490 plus on-road costs.
Available in an eye-catching orange colour scheme, the Kymco Like 150 S adopts black trim rather than the chrome and silver favoured by the Like 150 R, and it also has a slimmer headlight, a new pillion grabrail, a new front vent and a new muffler cover.
The Kymco Like 150 S is powered by a 150cc, four-valve, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine producing 13.3hp (9.9kW) and mated to a CVT twist-and-go automatic transmission, just ‘like’ the Like 150 R.
With 12-inch wheels and an all-up weight of 115kg (dry), it’s a supremely nimble character that cuts through the urban jungle with ease. Other noteworthy features include a 6.8-litre fuel tank, preload-adjustable twin rear shocks, two-channel ABS brakes and a manageable 790mm seat height.
The Kymco Like 150 S comes backed by a three-year factory warranty. See your nearest Kymco dealership for more information.
