Kymco AK 550 Premium arrives in Australia

The Kymco AK 550 Premium is designed to pack high-level features into a practical and affordable package

The all-new 2023 Kymco AK 550 Premium has arrived in Australia, with the Taiwanese scooter giant announcing its immediate availability.

Priced at $14,490 plus on-road costs, the new AK 550 Premium utilises a 550cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor that puts out 50.9hp (37.5kW) at 7500rpm, and 52Nm of torque at 6000rpm.

Positioned as a maxi-scooter, the AK 550 Premium also features an electronic throttle, cruise control, traction control, multi-stage heated grips, cornering ABS, two ride modes, an electronically-adjustable windshield, and daytime running lights.

Other key features include keyless start, an electric steering lock, under-seat storage and a full-colour LED screen that allows for smartphone-enabled entertainment and navigation. The display also benefits from two USB ports.

The AK 550 Premium has a 785mm seat height and a 14.5L fuel tank, while potential owners will have the choice between two liveries – Gloss Black or Calm Blue.

Backed by a 3-year factory warranty, the AK 550 Premium is now available at authorised Kymco dealers.
