A new electric dirt bike inspired by kick scooters is the subject of a crowdfunding campaign by Czech manufacturer, Kuberg Motorcycles. Yes, that’s right – your old Razor scooter is now a dirt bike.
The Kuberg Ranger features a unique pneumatic seat that allows the rider to choose their desired seat height. The seat can also be fully reclined, resulting in a scooter-like standing position. The result is a low centre of gravity, more stability and control, and more freedom of movement.

Powering the Kuberg Ranger is a 14000W motor that will nudge 80km/h and a battery that will keep you moving for up to 100km or 75 minutes of full-throttle riding. There is also an option to upgrade to a dual-battery pack, which extends the range.
Other features of the Kuberg Ranger include regenerative braking, a battery status indicator, fully adjustable suspension, a front fender, and a kick stand. There is also an optional LED light pack.
The Kuberg Ranger is currently available on crowfunding website IndieGoGo in a number of different variants. The full-powered, 14kW ‘Race’ variant comes with pneumatic seat, kick stand and regenerative braking as standard. It has a price tag of $7,544USD (approx. $10,561AUD), but IndieGoGo is currently offering 39% off.
There is also a ‘Standard’ 8kW version which leaves behind the seat, stand, fender, and regenerative braking – basically it is just an electric scooter. The ‘Standard’ variant checks in at $6150 (approx. $8610AUD), with IndieGoGo offering a 34% discount.
A third ‘Adventure’ variant offers the same package as the ‘Race’ version, but adds a heavy duty trailer which has a 30kg load capacity. Trailer, razor scooter, electric dirt bike – we are as confused as you (yet strangely intrigued). The ‘Adventure’ variant has an $8449USD (approx. $11,828AUD) price tag, with IndieGoGo taking 40% off.
The Ranger is not Kuberg’s first rodeo. The Czech Republic-based company already has a range of kids electric trials bikes, as well several full size electric mountain bike-style machines. The Ranger, however, is the company’s most ambitious, and most powerful, project yet.
Melbourne-based Steve Cramer Products is currently the importer for Kuberg products in Australia, but there is no word yet on whether the Ranger will reach our shores.
