Motocross and enduro riders have an opportunity to help raise funds for Challenge, a not-for-profit organisation providing daily support to kids with cancer and their families, by participating in the KTM Ride for Kids open day at the Victorian State Motorcycling Complex in Broadford (Vic) on Sunday, August 23.
Riding sessions will take place throughout the day, from juniors up, in a non-competitive, low-stress environment.
An entry fee of $45 for pre-registration or $55 on the day goes directly to Challenge and is fully tax deductible.
Riders do not have to hold a motorcycle racing licence to participate, as non-competition licences can be purchased on the day for $20.
Riders can help Challenge further by participating in a sponsor program to raise additional funds for the charity. The three riders who raise the most money for Challenge in each of the combined motorcycle classes will be rewarded with prizes from O’Neal, Fox and Scott.
The overall highest fundraise will win a 2009 model KTM 200EXC donated by KTM. The motorcycle is valued at $9995 (before statutory and dealer charges).
“This is the fourth consecutive year KTM Australia has sponsored Ride for Kids,” said KTM Australia General Manager, Jeff Leisk.
“The motorcycling industry is a very tight community and very giving community, we’re confident through this event much needed funds will be raised for Challenge and we’re proud to put the KTM name to the event.”
KTM Ride for Kids will go from 9.00am-5.00pm. The Victorian State Motorcycle Sports Complex is located at 280 Strath Creek Road, Broadford.
