KTM motard goes large

Capacity boost for Supermoto

KTM's monster motard, the 950 Supermoto, is following the trend established by the rest of the twin-cylinder fleet and has just received a boost in engine capacity, to a relatively modest 999cc.

It's now running a Keihin engine management system, fuel inection and a power claim of 115 horses.

Dubbed the 990 Supermoto, it is running WP upside-down forks up front and an adjustable monoshock form the same maker.

Brakes are by Brembo and the plot rides on 17-inch wheels -- 120/70 on the front and 180/55 on the rear.

Fuel capacity is 19 litres and it claims a 199 kilo dry weight.
