An updated KTM 890 Duke R is on its way, along with a new MotoGP-inspired variant dubbed the KTM 890 Duke GP.
The Austrian marque is set to reveal both bikes this month, with the 890 Duke R dropping on February 7 and the 890 Duke GP coming on February 22.
As part of the competitive middleweight naked segment, the refreshed KTM 890 Duke R, which KTM calls the ‘Super Scalpel’ will likely make a splash if the current iteration is any indication.

Launched in 2020, the 890 Duke R is powered 890cc parallel twin motor that produces 121hp at 9250rpm and 99Nm at 7750rpm. It is unlikely that the 2022 model will see any radical changes, but KTM should have a few tricks up its sleeve.
As for the 890 Duke GP, not much is known except for the name, but it would make sense for the variant to feature MotoGP-inspired graphics and maybe even some premium parts.
While there has been no public mention of the base 890 Duke (without the R), KTM Australia did confirm to bikesales that it will be distributed locally in extremely limited numbers.
