KTM Australia’s documentary called “KTM Finke Assault 2012” will go to air on ONE at 4:30pm EDT on November 25.
KTM charged renowned sports producer Michael Heaton to create a tell-all documentary that not only tells the story of KTM’s journey in winning the 2012 event, but also capturing the mystique and allure that keeps competitors coming back again and again to the Finke Desert Race.
“We’re extremely proud that we were able to get this documentary to air on ONE which is free for all to watch. It’s not only a win for KTM, our sponsors and our fans but it is also a big win for the Finke Desert Race and the Australian motorcycle industry,” said KTM Australia’s General Manager Jeff Leisk.
“In my opinion the Finke Desert Race is one of the toughest and most unique races in the world. The speed, intensity and distance of the race combined with the harshness of the terrain makes for a very exciting event. For man and machine to even finish the race is an achievement, let alone win it outright.”
The documentary follows the HSE Motorex KTM Desert Racing Team and features amazing footage of the athletes taking on the Finke track and pushing their motorcycles to the limits.
Toby Price won the 2012 event.
