The popular KTM 790 Adventure R is set to return to Australian shores for a limited run and will check in with a price tag of $19,790 ride away.
While the 790 Adventure R and its lower-spec 790 Adventure sibling were effectively replaced in 2021 by the KTM 890 Adventure platform, KTM resurrected the smaller-capacity version last year.
Now KTM Australia has announced that a limited number of 790 Adventure R and 790 Adventure models are coming to Australia and New Zealand, giving punters an exclusive opportunity to purchase one at an exclusive price point.
According to KTM, the bikes are 2022 models that have been assembled in the Philippines with components that are 100 per cent produced in Austria. KTM also says that the bikes are identical in both appearance and specification to the original versions, with the only difference being the fitment of Michelin Anakee tyres as standard.
The base-level KTM 790 Adventure is highlighted by its 189kg dry weight, WP Apex suspension, 21- and 18-inch wheels, a full electronics package, and of course the 790cc parallel-twin motor.
The higher-spec R version adds more off-road capability, courtesy of WP Xplor suspension with 240mm of travel, as well as a higher seat, high-front fender, low screen, and dirt-friendly tyres.
Both the 790 Adventure and 790 Adventure R will be available in limited numbers and only while stocks last. The base model will check in at $18,690 ride away, while the R version will come with a price tag of $19,790 ride away.
