KTM 450 SMR updated for 2025

Following the update of the 450 SX-F earlier this year, KTM has given its 450 SMR a similar refresh

KTM has given its 450 SMR supermoto weapon a refresh for 2025, adding updates in line with the 450 SX-F motocross equivalent.

The 2025 KTM 450 SMR is once again powered by the 63hp 450cc SOHC powerplant, but features some key changes to the chassis, the suspension, air intake system, graphics, and bodywork.

An overall weight-saving for 300g is courtesy of structural changes to improve the flex characteristics of the chassis, cornering behaviour and overall stability.

For the first time, the SMR also receives an adjustable 48mm WP XACT Closed Cartridge fork, which features a new mid-valve piston and a new hydro stop.

The rear suspension is handled by the WP XACT shock which benefits from an updated linkage with renewed seals, and smaller diameter linkage bolts.

An updated 1-piece inlet sleeve and snorkel design enhances the air intake, while an updated fuel tank roll protects the frame against wear. Changes to the bodywork improve ergonomics, while also giving the bike a new look.

The 2025 SMR is once again fitted with Metzeler Racetec SM K1 Supermoto tires wrapped in lightweight 16.5-inch and 17-inch Alpina wheels.

KTM Australia is yet to confirm availability and pricing for the 2025 KTM 450 SMR, but it is set to be available globally from September 2025.
