After just one season in the world Supersport ranks, Randy Krummenacher and his Puccetti Racing team have confirmed they will field a one-rider campaign in the World Superbike category next year.
Krummenacher, who currently sits in second in the title chase behind his teammate Kenan Sofuoglu, said: “This is really good news, I feel so confident going to Superbikes, the last few weeks, months, were a bit crazy. I had some offers but in the end it turns out that I can ride the Superbike for Manuel. I’m proud and thankful for the chance.”
Sofuoglu, who is currently chasing his fifth world Supersport crown, has re-signed to stay with the Puccetti Racing team in the 600cc category.
The team’s manager, Manuel Puccetti said, “After a few months of preparation we can finally say we will be in WorldSBK next year. It will be a great challenge and we will ride against the best riders in the paddock.
“Our team was born 20 years ago and after a few years in the Italian championship we landed in the superstock 600 championship with three consecutive titles, then with the triumph in world supersport in 2015 with Sofuoglu, and finally this season with the first two places in the championship. We are ready to face this new challenge."
